Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 plus tronc (£42,000 - £46,000 total)

Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Sous Chef to help open and run the kitchen along our head chef in our new homemade pasta restaurant in the centre of Manchester. The perfect candidate is someone who cares about the guest experience from start to finish, someone who loves working for a growing company and can keep our high standards alongside achieving targets set by the company.

Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation and presentation standards
- Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team atmosphere
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas
- Coordinate food production schedules to meet service times and optimize workflow efficiency
- Support food innovation by developing new recipes and refining existing menu items in line with brand standards
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to minimize waste and control costs
- Lead by example in cooking techniques, plating, and serving to uphold quality and consistency
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced culinary environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong background in food production, preparation, cooking, and presentation techniques
- Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
- Extensive kitchen experience with a focus on food safety practices and sanitation compliance
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving procedures, and hospitality standards
- Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
Pay: £42,000.00-£46,000.00 per year
