Night Porter
Location: St Giles House, Norwich
Wage: £12.71 per hour
Contracted Hours: 26–32 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 4 nights on / 4 nights off (11:00pm – 7:00am)
St Giles House is an independent boutique hotel in the heart of Norwich, known for its elegance, character and warm, personal service. We are seeking a professional and dependable Night Porter to join our team and uphold our high standards throughout the night.
This role is central to ensuring our guests enjoy a seamless, safe and comfortable stay from dusk until dawn.
The Role
Working independently during 8-hour night shifts (11pm–7am) on a 4 nights on / 4 nights off rotational basis, you will:
- Provide a reassuring and professional presence throughout the night
- Ensure the safety and security of the hotel and its guests
- Welcome late arrivals with warmth and efficiency
- Maintain immaculate standards in public areas
- Offer bar service to residents when required
- Prepare breakfast areas to our boutique presentation standards
- Complete nightly administrative and reporting tasks
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
About You
- Calm, polished and professional in your approach
- Naturally attentive with a passion for guest experience
- Trustworthy and confident working independently
- High attention to detail and presentation
- Previous experience in hospitality or a similar customer-facing role preferred
- 18+ (due to bar service responsibilities)
