We are looking for a reliable and organised Warehouse Operative to join our Pontypool team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy warehouse environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
The Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in supporting our engineering teams by ensuring stock is received, stored and dispatched efficiently. You'll help maintain an organised warehouse, manage inventory and ensure materials are available when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check and book in deliveries.
- Pick, pack and prepare orders for engineers and customers.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and assist with regular stock counts.
- Organise and store materials safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload deliveries.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, tidy and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Process goods in and goods out documentation.
- Assist with inventory control and report stock discrepancies.
- Support the wider operations team with general warehouse duties as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous warehouse or stores experience.
- Is organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Has good communication skills.
- Is physically capable of lifting and moving stock safely.
- Has basic IT skills for stock management systems.
- Holds a forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
