Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Removal Operative and Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the transportation of goods and belongings, ensuring safe and efficient delivery to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Role will be developed for the right candidate to obtain HGV Licence and progress to a Class 2 Driver / Removal Operative.
Duties
- Operate a 3.5T Luton vehicle for the transportation of goods, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Load and unload items carefully to prevent damage during transit.
- Assist in the packing and unpacking of items, ensuring they are securely stored for transport.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes that may occur.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence
- Previous experience as a removal operative, delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service.
