The Role:
- To deliver a range of courses for adults (post 19), to improve participation, retention and qualification success rates.
- To plan, prepare and teach a full programme of structured learning that meets the needs and learning preferences of entry level to level 2Learners.
- To provide support, information and advice and guidance to all learners in relation to their learning programme, personal and social development and employability development.
- To deliver and teach individual learning and one to one support to enablelearners to achieve at their own level within the standard required.
- To contribute to the successful delivery and outcomes of all externally funded programmes through improved recruitment, retention and completion rates and to contribute to the achievement of financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging learning programmes for adult learners, creating inclusive environments that support participation, retention and achievement.
- Assess learners’ starting points, develop individual learning plans, monitor progress and provide timely feedback to support progression and successful outcomes.
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, learning resources and assessments that meet awarding body and curriculum requirements.
- Support learner recruitment, induction, enrolment and ongoing information, advice and guidance, helping learners overcome barriers and achieve their goals.
- Maintain accurate learner records, attendance, achievement data and quality documentation in line with funding, compliance and quality assurance requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through learner voice, self-assessment, observations of teaching, CPD, and active participation in the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
About You:
- A recognised teaching qualification or substantial teaching/tutoring experience, alongside relevant vocational expertise in your specialist subject area.
- Minimum Level 2 qualifications in English, maths and ICT, with a strong understanding of adult learning, inclusive practice and supporting learners with diverse needs.
- Experience of planning, delivering and assessing high-quality learning, including schemes of work, lesson planning, assessment, learner progress tracking and mixed-ability delivery.
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes, including Ofsted expectations, safeguarding, health and safety, ILPs, internal verification, self-assessment and continuous improvement.
- Strong organisational, digital and administrative skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records, meet deadlines and work confidently across multiple delivery venues.
- An enthusiastic, resilient and professional approach, with excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, integrity, and a commitment to helping learners achieve their goals.
