Techni is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to take ownership of our busy warehouse operation in Shrewsbury.
This is a hands-on management role for someone who enjoys leading people, improving processes and making sure the warehouse runs efficiently day to day.
You'll be responsible for leading and developing the warehouse team across Goods In, Kit Building, Techni Systems Warehouse, Dispatch and Compressors, as well as maintaining strong stock control and warehouse standards.
We're particularly looking for someone who can bring structure, accountability and continuous improvement to the department – not simply maintain what's already in place.
What you'll be doing
- Leading, managing and developing the warehouse team
- Setting clear daily priorities and allocating workloads
- Overseeing Goods In, Kit Building, Dispatch and Compressor operations
- Managing the Techni Systems Warehouse
- Maintaining accurate stock and inventory control
- Monitoring warehouse productivity, quality and accuracy
- Managing warehouse cases and ensuring issues are followed through to resolution
- Creating, reviewing and improving warehouse processes and procedures
- Identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements
- Managing team performance, attendance, training and development
- Forward planning workloads and resources
- Working closely with Supply Chain, Production and other departments
- Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, housekeeping and organisation
- Ensuring company quality and ISO 9001 requirements are followed
- Ensuring ERP/MRP and warehouse systems are used accurately
What we're looking for
You'll need:
- Minimum 5 years' experience within warehousing, logistics, manufacturing or a similar operational environment
- Proven experience leading and managing a warehouse team
- Strong knowledge of Goods In, stock control, picking, packing and dispatch
- Experience managing daily workloads and priorities
- Experience creating or improving warehouse processes
- Experience managing employee performance and day-to-day people matters
- Experience using ERP, MRP or warehouse management systems
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Confidence managing a busy, fast-paced operation
Experience within manufacturing or engineering, production kitting, ISO 9001, Progress Plus, Health & Safety or continuous improvement would be an advantage.
About You
We're looking for a strong, hands-on manager who is comfortable being visible on the warehouse floor and leading from the front.
You'll be proactive, organised and confident managing people. You'll be comfortable challenging existing ways of working, introducing better processes and holding the team accountable for standards and performance.
Most importantly, you'll take ownership. If there's a problem in the warehouse, you'll want to understand it, fix it and make sure we have the right process in place to stop it happening again.
If you're an experienced Warehouse Manager looking for an opportunity where you can genuinely make an impact and improve how a warehouse operates, we'd like to hear from you.
