Multi-Drop Delivery Driver

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and highly skilled van driver to join an established local business operating across Birmingham and surrounding areas.
This role is suited to someone who has genuine experience driving vans professionally and is confident navigating busy urban areas, narrow roads, residential streets and difficult-to-access locations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing a daily route efficiently, safely and professionally, while providing a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a company van safely and responsibly throughout the working day
- Completing multiple scheduled stops across Birmingham and surrounding areas
- Following an established daily route while managing time effectively
- Navigating difficult, narrow and congested roads confidently
- Loading, unloading and organising stock as required
- Dealing professionally and courteously with customers
- Maintaining the vehicle to a high standard and reporting any issues
- Handling cash and transactions responsibly where required
- Working independently without constant supervision
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, sales and stock
- Representing the business professionally at all times
- Following all company procedures relating to vehicle safety, cash handling and customer service
Essential Requirements
We are looking for an experienced professional driver, not someone looking to gain their first experience driving a commercial vehicle.
You must have:
- Minimum 3 years’ professional van-driving experience
- A full UK driving licence held for a substantial period
- No points currently on your driving licence
- A clean and responsible driving history
- Strong knowledge of Birmingham and surrounding areas
- Excellent spatial awareness and confidence driving larger vans
- Experience navigating difficult and tight roads
- A proven history of employment in driving, delivery, logistics or similar roles
- Previous employers/references that can be verified
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check
- No relevant criminal convictions
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- The ability to work independently and responsibly
- Good punctuality and timekeeping

Resilient – able to deal with busy periods, difficult customers, traffic, weather and unexpected situations without becoming overwhelmed.
Trustworthy – particularly important as the role involves responsibility for company vehicles, stock and financial transactions.
Professional – polite and presentable when dealing with members of the public and able to represent an established business appropriately.
Self-motivated – capable of working alone, managing their own time and completing a route efficiently without constant supervision.
Experienced – ideally someone with a genuine background in professional driving, multi-drop deliveries, logistics, courier work or similar roles.
Commission
In addition to the standard rate of pay, commission is available based on performance, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to increase their earnings.
