Role Purpose
To provide friendly, reliable support in the charity’s tea room and retail space every Saturday, ensuring visitors receive excellent service and the environment operates smoothly.
This role helps to generate income that directly supports the charity’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer service: Welcome visitors warmly, serve food and drinks, assist customers in the retail space, and ensure everyone has a positive experience.
- Tea room support: Prepare and serve hot and cold refreshments, maintain cleanliness, restock supplies, and follow food hygiene practices.
- Retail assistance: Support with visual merchandising, restocking shelves, helping customers, and keeping the shop area tidy and inviting.
- Cash handling: Process sales accurately, follow cash‑handling procedures, and basic till operations.
- Health & safety: Follow food hygiene standards, maintain a clean working environment, and uphold safeguarding and safety policies.
- Visitor & Charity engagement: Share information about the charity’s work when appropriate and help create a welcoming community space.
- General support: Assist with any additional tasks needed to ensure smooth Saturday operations, including setting up, closing down, and supporting small events.

Pay: £13.38 per hour
