We are seeking a proactive, patient-focused Community Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). The successful candidate will lead daily dispensary operations, deliver NHS clinical services (such as Pharmacy First), and act as an accessible healthcare professional within the local community.
- Clinical Service Delivery: Deliver advanced NHS services including Pharmacy First (consultations, clinical assessments, and supplying Rx treatments for minor conditions), the New Medicine Service (NMS), Discharge Medicines Service (DMS), blood pressure checks, and national vaccination programmes (Flu, COVID-19).
- Prescription Verification & Dispensing: Ensure safe, legal, and accurate dispensing of NHS and private prescriptions; conduct robust clinical checks for dosage, drug interactions, contraindications, and patient suitability.
- Patient Consultation & Advice: Provide confidential face-to-face consultations in the private room for minor ailments, over-the-counter (OTC) sales, self-care, and lifestyle advice (e.g., smoking cessation).
- Governance & Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to GPhC standards, NHS contract requirements, information governance (GDPR), and controlled drugs (CD) legislation, including accurate CD register maintenance and safe destruction of returned medicines.
