About Us
At Bumbles Nursery, we don’t just provide childcare – we nurture futures. As part of a small and successful group of four purpose-built nurseries across Maghull, Aintree, Orrell Park, and our newest addition in Old Swan, we’re proud to be recognised for our first-class Early Years education, strong community connections, and commitment to the environment and professional development.
We consistently achieve Good and Outstanding ratings from Ofsted, and our teams are led by people who are genuinely passionate about children’s development, wellbeing, and success.
We’re now looking for a Deputy Manager to join our dedicated Aintree team – someone who shares our belief that early years education can be transformative and who is ready to support and inspire others to reach that standard every day.
What Makes Us Special
- A close-knit group of four nurseries with a shared ethos but unique identities
- Strong partnerships with local councils, Sefton Early Years, and families
- A leadership team that’s present, supportive, and invested in your growth
- Purpose-built environments designed to enrich children’s learning through play and exploration
- A genuine commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility
The Role
As Deputy Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in the daily running of the nursery, working closely with the Nursery Manager and supporting a passionate and experienced team.
You’ll help maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children feel secure and thrive – emotionally, socially, and academically.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the leadership and daily operations of the nursery
- Lead by example to deliver consistently high standards of care and learning
- Ensure full compliance with all statutory regulations including Ofsted, safeguarding, and health and safety
- Build strong and supportive relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community
- Motivate and mentor team members, helping them grow professionally
- Confidently step into the Manager’s role when required
- Stay up to date with sector changes and actively engage in internal and external training
What We’re Looking For
We’re searching for someone with energy, heart, and ambition. You’ll be someone who doesn’t settle for “good enough” – you want to lead, inspire, and help a great nursery become even better.

- Confident, articulate communicator with parents, staff, and professionals
- Calm, consistent, and capable under pressure
