Tyre Technician Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Tyre Technician to join our small team. Preferably someone with experience in the agricultural and commercial sectors who is willing to be mobile driving one of our Vans.
The workshop is located near Northallerton but our customer base spans a large part of North Yorkshire.
Rates of pay are negotiable based on Experience.
Duties
- Inspect and assess tyre condition, including tread depth and wear patterns.
- Remove and replace tyres using hand tools and power tools.
- Balance tyres to ensure smooth operation of vehicles.
- Repair punctures and other tyre damage as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide first class customer service by answering queries and advising on tyre care and maintenance.
- Keep accurate records of services performed on each vehicle.
Skills
- Must have a full clean driving license.
- Must be comfortable working on your own.
- Must be polite and courteous to customers at all times.
- Must be able to advise customers on all aspects of tyre care and maintenance.
- Must be physically fit as heavy lifting can be an integral part of the job.
- Must be at least 25 years of age due to insurance restrictions.
Full time preferred but part time considered for the right individual. Hours and pay can be discussed at interview but will be commensurate with experience.
