We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our mixed NHS and private dental practice. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready
- Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow efficiently
- Support patients with their queries, offering reassurance and clear communication throughout their visit
- Ensure the clinical environment adheres to health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols
- Assist with administrative tasks such as stock management and ordering supplies as needed
Qualifications
- Relevant nursing qualifications or certifications recognised within the UK healthcare system are mandatory
- Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare or dental setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with patients and team members
- Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide empathetic patient support
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
