About the Role:
The UK Schools and Colleges Engagement team, based in the cooperate marketing directorate are recruiting for a Schools & Colleges Engagement Officer (HE Recruitment) on a fixed term basis to help deliver our Student Recruitment strategy.
Primary responsibilities will include delivering high-level, high-quality customer service to our stakeholders and partners as well as the successful delivery of a variety of student recruitment events (including taster days, workshops, talks and presentations as some examples) to our target audiences across our campuses, the East of England or occasionally wider afield (e.g. UCAS Fairs).
With a degree, or part qualified in a relevant professional qualification at degree level, or appropriate experience, you will be confident developing, implementing, and maintaining high quality working relationships between ARU and your focus Sixth Forms and Colleges. This will include, but is not limited to, organising the logistics of on- and off- campus visits, collecting, handling and utilising data to show impact and reasoning, tracking against budgets and building a strong network of colleagues within ARU and external to support you in the successful delivery of your role. As an innovative, creative thinker you will have an enthusiastic proactive, approach, demonstrating excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. You must be highly organised, with experience of working in a fast-paced environment, and it is important that you can develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds.
This role will be responsible for a designated geographical area:
- Essex and North/East London - 37 hours per week, 18-month fixed-term contract, based at our Chelmsford campus
Candidates should live within a reasonable commuting distance of both their allocated campus and region, as regular travel to schools and colleges within the designated area will be required. Travel between campuses and regions will also be expected.
