Job Description
ASC are seeking several dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our friendly and supportive team. The successful candidates will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and help foster a positive learning environment for pupils aged [4-11] . This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and making a real difference in children’s lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the class teacher in delivering the national curriculum
- Work with small groups of children or one-on-one to assist their learning
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
- Assist with classroom preparation, resources, and activities
- Support children with special educational needs (SEN) as required
- Foster a caring, inclusive, and safe atmosphere for all students
- Supervise students during breaks, lunchtime, and school activities
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
- Experience working with children in an educational setting (voluntary or paid)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members
- Passion for helping children reach their full potential
- A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to use initiative
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN
- First Aid and/or safeguarding training (can be provided if needed)
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs
