Job Summary
THIS IS A VOLUNTEER ROLE NOT A PAID ROLE
We are looking for a volunteer that would be happy to go out on collections and deliveries with our driver a few days a week.
To be able to volunteer within this role you do need to be able to lift and carry so a level of fitness is required.
No two days will be the same and you will be representing the Charity every day to, donors, supporters, customers and followers. This is such an important role and is critical to the success of our retail shops.
Duties
- Ensure timely deliveries with our driver while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Help conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Collaborate with shop staff to help manage collections/deliveries effectively.
- Communicate effectively with the public and all team members.
- Be flexible with the days you can volunteer
Skills
- Experience in delivery/collectins or being a drivers mate.
- Knowledge of minor vehicle issues.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with the public and team members.
