Gemini 107 Station Street Ltd are seeking a versatile and skilled maintenance person/caretaker to join our 3-man maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and renovation tasks across the site. This role requires a proactive approach and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The maintenance person will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our site through effective repairs and improvements.
Working hours are 45 hours per week, 8-5 with a 1-hour break, Monday to Friday.
Duties
- Support the current on site roofer in conducting roofing repairs and maintenance to ensure structural integrity and weatherproofing.
- Perform emergency roof repairs as needed during the roofer’s absence.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various repair activities.
- Jet washing the patio and various shelters around the site.
- Minor electrical works (changing light bulbs etc.)
- Clearing blocked pipes and drains as required.
- Repointing brickwork.
- Weed removal and control.
- Cut back overgrown trees.
- General caretaker duties such as litter picking and emptying bins.
- On-call cover out of hours.
Requirements
- Willingness to be part of the on-call rota (training will be provided)
- Basic roofing knowledge and/or experience
- Experience of using power tools
- Comfortable working and using power tools at heights on scaffold/ladders.
- Experience in carrying out basic woodwork.
- Comfortable clearing and unblocking drains and pipework.
- Experience using gardening tools (strimmer, tree loppers etc.)
- Most importantly, a willingness to learn as training can be provided.
Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
