Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our professional cleaning team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various premises, ensuring a welcoming and sanitary environment for clients and visitors. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including offices, corridors, restrooms, and communal spaces, using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitised, floors are swept and mopped, and waste is disposed of correctly
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the premises
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and soap dispensers as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks when required, including carpet cleaning or window washing
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus
- Attention to detail and organisational skills are essential to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to established procedures
- Good time management skills to complete assigned tasks within designated shifts
