Commercial & Residential Maintenance + Refurbishments | London
Balcombe Group is a family-run property maintenance and refurbishment business established in 2012, delivering high-standard works across commercial and residential portfolios throughout London.
We are currently looking for an experienced self-employed Handyman / Multi-Trade Operative to support our reactive maintenance, planned works, and refurbishment projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of general maintenance and repair works across commercial and residential properties
- Complete first and second fix carpentry, basic plumbing, patch plastering, decorating touch-ups, silicone sealing, and general building repairs
- Install, repair, and replace fixtures, fittings, ironmongery, doors, skirting, shelving, flooring, and other building components
- Support refurbishment and upgrade projects on occupied and vacant sites
- Diagnose maintenance issues and complete repairs to a high standard
- Undertake making good following maintenance works
- Ensure all work areas are left clean, safe, and presentable
- Work efficiently to programme deadlines with minimal disruption to clients and occupants
- Liaise professionally with property managers, tenants, clients, and site teams
Required Experience
- Proven experience as a handyman or multi-trade operative within commercial and residential properties
- Competent across a variety of building maintenance trades
- Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Own tools and transport preferred
- Public liability insurance required
- Self-employed/subcontractor basis
