As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an ambitious and organised Internal Sales & Transport Coordinator to join our team.
The Role
This is a key office-based position combining sales, customer service, transport coordination and operational planning.
You will be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing customers, developing new business opportunities, arranging aggregate orders with quarries, coordinating deliveries and ensuring our drivers are scheduled efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Managing and developing existing customer accounts.
- Contacting new customers and generating sales opportunities.
- Following up quotations and enquiries.
- Booking aggregates, recycled materials and muck-away services.
- Liaising with quarries, suppliers and customers.
- Scheduling tipper trucks and drivers.
- Planning daily vehicle movements.
- Providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly.
- Building relationships with groundworks, civil engineering and construction companies.
- Maintaining accurate records of orders and deliveries.
- Assisting with general office administration and operational support.
Requirements
Essential
- Minimum 1 year experience in sales, customer service, transport, logistics, construction, haulage or a similar role.
- Strong telephone and communication skills.
- Confident speaking with customers and suppliers.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good computer skills including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Professional, reliable and positive attitude.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Experience within aggregates, tipper haulage, construction, recycling or quarrying sectors.
- Knowledge of transport planning and logistics.
- Experience generating new business and building customer relationships.
- Understanding of construction materials and aggregates.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday08:00 – 17:00
