BW Building Solutions Ltd is looking for a reliable and hardworking General Building Labourer to join our growing building company.
This is a varied, hands-on role covering a wide range of residential and commercial projects. Our work includes general building, carpentry, decorating, landscaping, renovations, office fit-outs and property improvements, so no two weeks will be exactly the same.
We are looking for someone who wants more than just occasional labouring work. The right person will have the opportunity to learn new skills, take on greater responsibility and develop into a valuable long-term member of the business as the company continues to grow.
Duties will include:
- Assisting with general building and renovation work Loading, unloading and moving materials Preparing and keeping work areas clean and organised Basic carpentry and decorating tasks Landscaping and groundwork Using hand and power tools safely Supporting skilled trades on site Collecting materials and helping with site set-up Following instructions and completing work to a high standard
The ideal candidate will be:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking Physically fit and comfortable with manual work Willing to learn and take direction Able to work independently and as part of a team Respectful when working in customers’ homes and commercial premises Proud of their work and attentive to detail Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions Able to travel to jobs across Surrey, Hampshire and surrounding areas
Previous construction or labouring experience would be useful but is not essential for the right person with a strong attitude and genuine willingness to learn. A full UK driving licence is highly desirable.
The role will initially be offered on a flexible basis, with the potential for more regular work and progression as the company grows. Pay will depend on experience, ability and reliability.
