The Neston Club & Parkgate Clubhouse is one of the premier event venues and private sporting clubs in the North of England.
We have 4 bars, 2 function rooms, Bistro 1881 and cater for events from 50 to 650 guests.
Our Parkgate Clubhouse is a unique and wonderful year round location for all types of celebrations. We hold regular weddings, parties, book launches and signings, corporate lunches and conferences.
On the sporting side we have 4 lawn tennis courts, 4 astro tennis courts, 4 artificial clay tennis courts, a bowling green, croquet lawn, 2 cricket pitches, a hockey astro pitch and 3 squash courts.
We are excited to be recruiting a Bar Manager to join our management team in our Parkgate Clubhouse and across The Neston Club

What you'll do -
- Work closely with the Club Manager to ensure the smooth running of all bars on site.
- Ensure the smooth running of F&B service at all times.
- Creating rotas each week to ensure appropriate staffing levels for bars and events, set up and breakdown.
- Controlling costs and meeting GP targets
- Take control of the POS and stock software systems and update when necessary.
- Overseeing cellar management, including stock ordering, deliveries, rotation and barrel preparation
- Create a welcoming, positive and friendly environment for clients and colleagues
- Ensure good communication between the event managers, the operations team, F&B, Admin and the kitchen.
- Ensuring safe working practices and compliance with all hygiene, health and safety instructions and regulations.
- Ensure all site maintenance is kept up to date.
- Be willing to be part of the team and perform other duties if required. Be willing to get stuck into anything necessary.
- Recruiting and training waiting and bar staff, making sure they have had all the required training in both health and safety matters
- Working with the kitchen and events team to ensure that all room set ups are completed in time and to the specifications given.
- Responsible for making sure all storerooms are organised and tidy.
- Responding to the event managers to ensure all plans for events and functions are carried out.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience within hospitality involving both bar and events.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards
- Ability to train and develop team members
- Flexibility. Everyone within our team must be prepared to go beyond their job remit from time to time to help other areas of the team.
- Legally able to work in the UK and must be over 18 years of age
- Available for both day and evening shifts.
- Confident and outgoing
- Prepared to work evenings, weekends and shift patterns that the business requires
- Able to remain calm in a busy environment

This is a full-time, hands on, operational role where you are expected to lead by example.
This role would ideally suit a current bar manager looking for a new challenge in a large events and sports based company.
