Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of subfloors, including cleaning, leveling, and ensuring surfaces are ready for screeding.
- Mix and apply floor screed using hand tools and power tools to achieve precise levels and smooth finishes.
- Support carpenters and skilled tradespeople with measuring, cutting, and installing components as needed.
- Read schematics and technical drawings to understand project specifications and ensure accurate application of materials.
- Operate hand tools such as trowels, mixers, and levels, along with power tools like drills and saws for various tasks.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all activities.
- Maintain a clean work environment by clearing debris and organizing tools to promote efficiency and safety on-site.
Requirements
- Previous construction experience or familiarity with building sites is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and basic carpentry techniques.
- Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, or instructions accurately.
- Experience with construction painting or finishing work is a plus but not essential.
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail and quality control.
