We are looking for a Hygiene Operative to join our Production team at our Newark site. This is a valued role within our operation, helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout the production facility. You will play an important part in ensuring our workplace meets health and safety and quality standards, working closely with colleagues across the site.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, days based

About the role
As a Hygiene Operative, you will help keep our production environment clean, safe and well maintained. You will have a clear work area and hygiene rota to work from, with training and support provided to help you become confident in the role.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out hygiene and cleaning tasks in accordance with the hygiene rota and assigned work area
- Maintaining production areas, equipment and surrounding workspaces to the required standard
- Safely preparing, operating and maintaining cleaning equipment
- Replenishing cleaning materials and maintaining appropriate stock levels
- Safely preparing, handling and disposing of cleaning chemicals and disinfectants in accordance with COSHH requirements
- Maintaining GMP+, hygiene, food safety and quality standards
- Reporting any issues that could affect hygiene, food safety or production standards
- Working positively with colleagues and supporting other departments where required
- Building good working relationships with Production, Engineering and Technical teams
What we're looking for
You do not necessarily need previous experience in this type of environment. Full training will be provided, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and is keen to learn.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in hygiene, cleaning, manufacturing or a similar environment, although this is not essential
- A good understanding of basic health and safety
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
- A reliable and organised approach to your work
- The ability to work well with colleagues across different areas of the business
- A willingness to learn new procedures and undertake training
- A positive attitude and a practical approach to your work
