A growing and forward-thinking architectural practice is looking for an experienced Project Architect to take genuine ownership of a varied and rewarding project portfolio. This is a client facing, delivery focused role within a team that values technical credibility, commercial awareness and the ability to lead from the front.
THE ROLE
You will manage multiple architectural projects concurrently across all RIBA Plan of Work stages, predominantly within the residential sector, leading on programme, budget, design coordination and client relationships from concept through to completion.
You will coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams, maintain compliance with Building Regulations, CDM requirements and current legislation, and act as the primary client and stakeholder contact throughout each commission.
You will have internal resources at your disposal to produce co-ordinated information, which will need to be managed in line with budgets set for each individual commission.
Commercial responsibility sits within this role: you will monitor project fees and financial performance, contribute to fee proposals and forecasting, and identify opportunities that support the continued growth of the practice.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You will ideally be an ARB registered Architect, and additional experience in Architectural Technology, Construction Management or a related discipline will be advantageous, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience of relevant experience in an architectural project management context. Strong working knowledge of RIBA stages, construction processes and contract administration is essential, alongside the communication skills to manage clients and consultant teams with confidence.
Professional accreditation (ARB, RIBA, CIAT or equivalent) and experience across mixed use sectors and Principal Designer responsibilities under CDM and the Building Safety Act.
Equally important is a genuine design awareness. You will be someone who understands and respects the design intent behind a project and can engage meaningfully with the creative and technical decisions that shape it. The ability to review design proposals, assess quality of information and contribute an informed perspective throughout the design process will set you apart
