Job Summary
Croft Dene Care Home are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care within a caring home environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supervising care staff, developing personalised care plans, and ensuring the highest standards of support for our residents. Duties
- Supervise and support care staff to deliver high-quality personal and clinical care
- Assist residents with daily activities such as mobility, personal hygiene, and nutrition
- Develop, review, and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with residents and their families
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies
- Maintain accurate documentation using IT systems for care records and reporting
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support
- Lead by example to promote a positive, respectful, and compassionate environment
- Organise training sessions or meetings to support ongoing staff development
- Support with driving responsibilities when required, ensuring safe transportation of residents or staff
Experience
- Proven experience working within a care home or senior care environment
- Supervising or leadership experience within healthcare or social care settings
- Knowledge of developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and team members
- Competent IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Driving licence is desirable for transportation duties but not essential
- Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations
- Must have a minimum of Level 2 in Health and Social Care and be willing to work towards Level 3.
