As part of Redefining Dining, we're passionate about creating memorable hospitality experiences and continually investing in our people, venues and guest offering. With exciting plans for the future, we're looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead one of our flagship venues.
The Role
As General Manager of Cattle & Co Swansea & The Saloon, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of both spaces, ensuring every guest receives an exceptional experience while driving commercial performance.
Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, you'll lead a passionate management team, inspire your people and ensure the venue consistently delivers against key business objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing management and front-line team.
- Creating a culture of excellence where outstanding guest service is the standard.
- Driving sales, profitability and labour efficiency through effective planning and commercial decision-making.
- Monitoring KPIs and identifying opportunities to improve performance across all areas of the business.
- Overseeing the successful delivery of events within The Saloon, ensuring every event exceeds guest expectations.
- Working closely with the marketing team to maximise event attendance, seasonal campaigns and local promotions.
- Managing rotas, payroll, stock control and financial performance to achieve budgeted targets.
- Ensuring exceptional food, drink and service standards are maintained at all times.
- Maintaining full compliance with food safety, health & safety, licensing legislation and company procedures.
- Leading by example on the floor, supporting the team during busy services and creating a positive working environment.
- Building strong relationships within the local community to drive repeat business and strengthen the venue's reputation.
- Recruiting, developing and retaining talented team members while creating clear progression opportunities.
- Driving innovation and continuously seeking new ways to improve guest experience and business performance.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and has a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Ideally you'll have:
- Previous experience as a General Manager or an experienced Deputy General Manager ready to take the next step.
- A proven track record of delivering strong financial results, including sales growth and labour control.
- Experience leading large hospitality teams and developing future leaders.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Experience managing events or multi-faceted hospitality operations (desirable).
- Strong commercial awareness and confidence analysing business performance.
- Experience with EPOS and hospitality management systems.
- A hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate, inspire and hold teams accountable.
- A passion for creating memorable guest experiences and driving continuous improvement.
