Fox and Firkin Limited is a small but growing hospitality business based in Lewisham. Our portfolio includes the iconic Fox & Firkin music venue, home to one of South London's best beer gardens, and host to some of the best music and community events in London, an onsite brewery, and an exciting new restaurant opening soon. We're looking for an organised, proactive and adaptable Temporary Administrative & Operations Assistant to support our director and help keep our business running smoothly. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be comfortable juggling multiple priorities, thinking on your feet, and working across different areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the director, including diary management, scheduling meetings, and handling ad hoc tasks.
- Maintain accurate records and perform data entry using QuickBooks and other business software.
- Prepare, proofread and format documents, reports and correspondence.
- Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails and post.
- Arrange travel and accommodation for business trips.
- Organise and maintain both digital and physical filing systems.
- Conduct research and compile information as required.
- Support the planning and delivery of projects and events.
- Manage bookings for the train using DesignMyNight.
- Assist with general office and operational administration as required.
- Working with Xero to add invoices.
- Pulling hours from our rota software Planday to send to payroll.
- Taking account of cash reconciliation vs till sales.
About You
You'll have:
- Previous experience in an administrative, executive assistant or personal assistant role.
- Experience using QuickBooks and confidence with data entry.
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- The ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets and Slides).
- A professional, approachable manner and excellent customer service skills.
- The ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
