Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm (30-min unpaid break)
Friday 8:00am – 1:30pm (Early weekend finish!)
About the Role
We are seeking an organised and proactive Finance & Administration Manager to join our team at our office in Newton Abbot.
Reporting to the Senior Finance & People Team Leader you will manage day-to-day finance administration with a primary focus on our New Build Sales Ledger. This is an exciting, varied position where you will also assist with management accounts, support HR administration, and play a key role in our upcoming transition to a new accounting system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finance & Accounts: Manage the New Build Sales Ledger (invoicing, receipts, reconciliations, and queries). Assist the Management Accountant with month-end prep and help the Senior Finance Manager with debt collection and financial trackers.
- System Transition: Assist with the smooth migration, testing, and data transfer to our new accounting software, supporting colleagues through the update.
- HR & Office Admin: Provide essential administrative support on HR matters (employee records, holiday/absence tracking, onboarding) and assist with the daily smooth running of the office.
What We Are Looking For:
Essential:
- AAT Level 4 (or equivalent accounting qualification / proven experience).
- Solid experience in a finance/accounts environment, specifically handling sales ledger and invoicing.
- Strong numerical skills, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software/MS Office.
- Prior experience assisting with management accounts or credit control.
- Ability to work independently, manage tight deadlines, and maintain strict confidentiality.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience within the Construction sector.
- Exposure to HR administration or software data migration.
