We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Assistant to join our Catering team and help prepare meals for our elderly residents but also someone who can help in our Housekeeping team.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Support the Chef and other catering staff to manage and deliver all catering services throughout the home, ensuring that resident choice, dignity, confidentiality, and safety are maintained.
2. Prepare nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, as directed by the Chef, promptly and in accordance with agreed mealtimes.
3. Have an understanding of the Dementia Dining Experience requirements and prepare meals in accordance with it.
4. Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and food storage areas at all times in accordance with the appropriate food hygiene regulations.
5. Prepare special diet meals as needed and as directed by the Chef.
6. Participate in events held at Acacia Lodge Care home.
7. Work flexibly within contracted hours to ensure resources are used efficiently and, where chosen, sign an opt-out clause under Working Time Directives.
8. Be aware of COSHH regulations
Hours of Work: 10am-7pm Kitchen Assistant.
2 week rota of 4 shifts and 3 shifts.
Require Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.74 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Wellingborough NN9 5RE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Kitchen management: 1 year (preferred)
