Overview
We are seeking a dynamic & reliable recovery driver/ technician who possesses a minimum class 2 licence and be within a short distance of our base in Ellistown, LE67 area due to measured ETA’s to jobs and area coverage. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience in the recovery and roadside assistance industry, but full training can be provided for the right candidate however, an understanding of vehicles with the ability to carry out basic roadside repairs is a must due to the nature of our business.
A strong sense of responsibility with attention to detail is needed and the ability to use own initiative. The candidate should be trustworthy and willing to work as part of a team.
Full training will be provided and investment in IVR training programs will be provided for the right candidate where required to aid you in your career.
Schedule
We are looking for 2 drivers to work between 07:00 – 23:00 either on a permanent shift or rotation if parties in agreeance on a 4 on, 4 off pattern
Shifts
Shift 1 – 07:00 – 19:00.
Shift 2 – 11:00 – 23:00.
The successful candidate will be required to be available for the out of hours on call rota based from home between 23:00 – 07:00.
Duties
- Carry out roadside attendance and assistance to a range of customers/vehicles/faults.
- Carry out vehicle recoveries and deliver to the specified destinations.
- Maintain and clean your designated recovery vehicle, including tool maintenance and repairs where needed.
Requirements
- Valid class 2 or class 1 driving licence
- Experience as a recovery driver or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is required for troubleshooting vehicle issues.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to follow instructions and direction from our team of controllers.
- A strong commitment to safety practices while driving
- Flexibility to work varied hours as required.
- Provide excellent customer service to our customers.
