We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Stock & Commercial Data Analyst to join our team. We are a fast-growing automotive e-commerce business supplying performance car parts across the UK and internationally.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Stock & Commercial Data Analyst to join our Stock Management team.
We're looking someone who can bring the data intelligence, turning sales and stock data into clear insights, highlighting trends, spotting problems early and showing the team where action is needed.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys digging into data, asking why, and using numbers to influence real commercial decisions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets using SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and other visualization tools to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Conduct root cause analysis on stock discrepancies, supply chain bottlenecks, and inventory variances to develop effective solutions.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize shipping & receiving processes, materials handling, and warehouse operations.
- Utilize ERP systems such as AS400 and warehouse management systems to monitor stock levels, update records, and ensure data accuracy.
- Engage in category management activities by negotiating with suppliers and warehouses to improve stock availability and reduce costs.
- Support merchandising initiatives through data mining and analysis skills to align stock levels with retail demand.
- Assist in developing dashboards and reports in Power BI or Tableau for senior management to facilitate strategic planning and decision-making.
Skills
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and ERP systems like AS400.
- Experience in data mining, root cause analysis, and process improvement methodologies within supply chain or warehouse environments.
- Knowledge of logistics operations including shipping & receiving, materials handling, heavy lifting (forklift certification preferred), and warehouse management systems.
- Familiarity with retail management principles such as merchandising, stocking strategies, category management, and materials handling.
- Ability to visualize complex data sets clearly using tools like Tableau or Power BI for effective communication of insights.
- Understanding of supply chain dynamics including 3PL providers and warehouse experience to optimize inventory flow.
- Strong analysis skills combined with attention to detail to support continuous process improvements in fast-paced environments.
