Job Title: Social Worker (Adults)
Salary: £26,800 - £33,774 per annum
30 Hours per Week

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Social Worker to join the Bromsgrove Area Team, working with adults in a person-centred and strengths-based way to enable them to live independently and remain connected to their local communities.
You will support people across the Bromsgrove locality, including Rubery, Wythall, Alvechurch, central Bromsgrove and the surrounding villages. The role involves supporting adults to remain in their own homes wherever possible and maximise their independence and wellbeing.
You will:

Complete Care Act 2014 assessments and reviews.

Undertake Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interests Decisions in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Carry out safeguarding enquiries in partnership with the Worcestershire County Council Safeguarding Team, in line with the Care Act 2014.

Work collaboratively with partners across health, housing, police and other community organisations to achieve positive outcomes for the people you support.

Promote a strengths-based approach that empowers individuals and builds on existing support networks within their communities.
The Bromsgrove Area Team is a diverse, experienced and supportive team made up of Social Workers and Social Care Workers who bring a wide range of skills, knowledge and experience.

Regularly support students undertaking social work placements.

Hold monthly reflective practice sessions featuring guest speakers and discussions on relevant professional topics.
