An opportunity has arisen for an experienced litigation professional to join a growing Financial Mis-Selling operation in Manchester as Deputy Head of Department.
This is a genuine senior leadership position for someone who can combine strong technical litigation knowledge with the ability to lead people, drive performance and support the continued development of a growing department.
You'll work closely with the Head of Department, taking a key role in the day-to-day management and strategic direction of the team.
The Role
- The department handles Financial Mis-Selling litigation, with a particular focus on claims arising from motor finance and PCP agreements.
- As Deputy Head, you'll provide senior technical and operational leadership across the department, helping ensure consistently high standards while supporting Team Leaders, Solicitors and other legal professionals within the team.
The position will involve:-
- Supporting the Head of Department with the management and development of the Financial Mis-Selling function
- Providing leadership and technical guidance across the department
- Supporting and developing Team Leaders and senior fee earners
- Driving performance, quality and consistency
- Providing oversight on complex or escalated matters
- Helping implement processes and best practice across the department dentifying areas for improvement and supporting continued growth
- Acting as a senior point of contact within the team
Who We're Looking For
- We're interested in speaking with experienced litigation professionals who can demonstrate:-
- Significant litigation experience
- Strong knowledge of Financial Mis-Selling, Consumer Litigation, Motor Finance, PCP/PPI or a closely related area
- Previous leadership, management or supervisory experience- Experience supporting and developing legal teams
- Strong technical and commercial judgement
- The confidence to make decisions and provide guidance on complex matters- A track record of driving high standards and performance
- The ability to operate effectively at senior management level
- You may currently be working as a Deputy Head, Senior Team Leader, Legal Manager or experienced Senior Solicitor with substantial leadership responsibilities.
