The post holder will be responsible for triaging referrals into the Gynaecology service from primary care and other secondary care
departments.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
To use established pathways to assist with clinically safe triage of referrals.
To manage / organise the healthcare needs of patients, accept, downgrade, update and reject referrals or refer to an appropriate service / practitioner as required.
To provide clinical support as required/requested and provide operational management of the Nurse triage team.
To promote evidence-based practice and act as an accountable role model.
To lead the triage team acting on behalf of the Senior Nurse including ensuring training needs are met establishing.
educational plan for nursing team and performance management and audit.
To work with other members of the team together with a focus on patient safety and ensuring that all delegated activities.
are in line with the NLIAH (2010) All Wales Guidelines for Delegation.
Post holders will be required to be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
