Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to a young woman in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in ensuring they receive the care and attention necessary for their well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a commitment to delivering high-quality care, and the ability to work effectively with others .
Duties
- Assist client with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support client in mobility and transferring safely from one location to another.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Maintain accurate care plans and documentation of client progress and changes in condition.
- Communicate effectively with client, family, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, providing companionship during travel.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge related to personal care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred.
- Strong IT skills for maintaining electronic records and communicating via digital platforms.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow care plans meticulously while being flexible to adapt to changing needs.
- A valid driving licence for transporting clients when necessary.
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
