Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Coffee Shop Chef to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, excellent leadership skills, and a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management. This role involves overseeing daily food production, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The Coffee Shop Chef will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for customers while delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of coffee shop menu items, including specialised beverages and light meals
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food quality
- Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and presentation standards
- Ensure all food safety regulations and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to within the kitchen environment
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise operational efficiency
- Train new staff members in food preparation, safety procedures, and customer service protocols
- Collaborate with front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a café or restaurant setting
- Supervising experience with team management skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality environments
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and guide team members
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in food production, serving, and maintaining high standards of quality
- Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests
Pay: £12.50-£16.00 per hour
