Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Nursery Bank Staff to join our childcare team on a flexible basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in early childhood education and childcare management, supporting the daily needs of children in a nurturing environment. The position is suitable for individuals with a genuine interest in child development and a desire to contribute positively to young children's lives. Duties
- Assist in supervising and engaging with children in the nursery setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Support the delivery of age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and socialisation
- Help maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment for children
- Collaborate with permanent staff to implement daily routines and programmes
- Provide support during meal times, play sessions, and rest periods as required
- Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping and communication with parents or guardians
- Support management in implementing policies related to health, safety, and child protection standards
- Occasionally undertake driving duties to transport children or supplies when necessary
Requirements
- Experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood education setting is highly desirable
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills in childcare environments
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of childcare practices, child development, and early childhood education principles
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
- Valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties
- Passionate about supporting children's growth and development with a caring attitude
- Organised, reliable, and able to adapt to changing priorities within a busy nursery environment
