About the Role
Kostaa Kitchens & Bedrooms is looking for a reliable and hardworking Van Driver & Factory Helper to join our manufacturing team in Heston.
This is a hands-on role combining driving and deliveries, loading and unloading, factory assistance and general support to our manufacturing and installation teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the company van for deliveries and collections across London
- Deliver kitchens, wardrobes and fitted furniture components safely to customer sites
- Load and unload cabinets, panels, doors, worktops, hardware and other materials
- Collect materials and supplies from suppliers when required
- Help the manufacturing team with general factory activities
- Assist with packing and preparing completed furniture for delivery
- Keep the factory, loading areas and company vehicle clean and organised
- Support installers and fitters with loading/unloading and site activities when required
- Handle finished furniture carefully to prevent damage
- Follow company health & safety procedures
Essential Requirements
- Must hold a full UK driving licence
- Must have held a UK driving licence for a minimum of 3 years
- Confident and safe driving a van in London
- Good knowledge of driving safety regulations and adherence to UK traffic laws during deliveries
- Physical stamina for extended periods of standing, lifting and manual handling tasks
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Good attitude and willingness to help wherever required
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Careful and responsible when handling customers' furniture and property
Desirable Experience
Previous experience in furniture, joinery, manufacturing, removals, warehouse or delivery work would be an advantage.
Basic knowledge of tools, furniture assembly or installation would also be useful but is not essential.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position, primarily based at our manufacturing facility in Heston, Hounslow West London, with regular deliveries and collections.
Some flexibility may be required depending on installation and delivery schedules.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is dependable, practical, physically fit and hands-on. The successful candidate must be happy to drive, load and unload materials, help in the factory and support the wider team.
This is not a driving-only position.
