Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to provide compassionate care and support within a residential setting based in Newbury. The successful candidate will work closely with children and young people, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. Responsibilities
- Support children and young people in their daily activities, promoting independence and personal growth
- Assist in the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all residents
- Provide emotional support and guidance to help residents develop social skills and confidence
- Facilitate recreational activities and educational programmes aligned with care objectives
- Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and relevant observations
- Take residents to and from the residential unit into the school unit and potentially to see Occupational therapists etc,
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable
- Experience in developing or following care plans is advantageous
- Strong communication skills are essential for building trust and rapport with residents and team members
- IT literacy to maintain accurate documentation and utilise relevant software systems
- Driving experience or a valid driving licence is preferred to support transportation needs

Pay: £97.68-£100.00 per day
