Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Supervisor to join our café on College Green, at a hugely exciting time for our business. We are celebrating two very successful years, with a wonderful roster of regular customers and great local suppliers, and have the prospect of new sites on the horizon in Bristol and beyond! We are looking for someone to slot in smoothly and grow with us as we continue to serve some of Bristol's best-loved pastries, coffee and matcha. The successful candidate will be responsible for; delivering exceptional customer service, preparing excellent coffee and delicious food, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment and building effective relationships with customers and colleagues alike. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for preparing high-quality coffee, serving artisan baked goods, and providing excellent customer service. Previous experience in cafés or other hospitality settings is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffees, matchas and other hot beverages
- Assist with basic food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders accurately
- Running shifts: delegating, making sure team members happy, allergen requests
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the serving areas
- Opening and closing the cafe, accurately following established procedures
- Training staff members, helping to uphold standards within team
- Handle customer enquiries professionally and resolve any issues promptly
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Leadership qualities with previous team management experience preferred
- Organised with good time management skills to handle busy service periods
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Barista experience is essential
