Are you looking for a hands-on role where every day is different?
We're seeking a motivated Civils Operative to join our growing Street Lighting and Electrical Infrastructure team, working across Nottinghamshire on projects that help keep communities safe, connected and thriving.
Working alongside experienced operatives and electrical specialists, you'll support the installation, maintenance and renewal of street lighting assets and electrical infrastructure. You'll be involved in a wide range of civils activities, from excavation and duct installation to supporting Independent Connection Provider (ICP) projects and electrical network construction.
Whether you already have experience in highways, utilities or construction, or you're looking to develop new skills, this role offers excellent opportunities for training and career progression.
What You'll Be Doing

Assisting with the installation and maintenance of street lighting infrastructure.

Excavation, trenching and reinstatement works.

Installing ducts, chambers and cable routes.

Supporting electrical infrastructure and ICP projects.

Assisting with the installation of feeder pillars, cabinets and associated equipment.

Operating tools, equipment and plant safely and effectively.

Working on planned and reactive projects across Nottinghamshire.

Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with industry standards.
What We're Looking For
Essential
-
Experience in construction, highways, utilities, civils or infrastructure works.

Full UK Driving Licence.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Strong commitment to health and safety.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
-
NRSWA Street Works qualification.
-
CSCS Card.
-
Experience in excavation and reinstatement works.

Plant operation experience.
-
Highways or utility sector experience.

Knowledge of street lighting or electrical infrastructure projects.
