Brick Cutting Shop Operative – Leicester
Permanent Full Time, 40 hours per week
Job Description
At ACS, we are expanding our brick cutting and fabrication team and are looking for a reliable and motivated Brick Cutting Shop Operative to join our busy factory operation. Reporting to the Factory Supervisor, you will work as part of an experienced and supportive team where teamwork and quality are key.
Experience operating Clipper Saws within the brick or masonry industry would be ideal; however, applicants with experience in similar factory or manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply.
Full training will be provided.
Duties
· Operating Clipper Saws to cut brick slips and special shapes
· Loading and unloading automated cutting machines
· Palletising and packing finished products for despatch
· Completing production records accurately
· Carrying out basic maintenance of cutting machinery, dust extraction and water suppression systems
· Keeping the factory clean, tidy, and well organised
· Following all health and safety procedures
Key Skills & Requirements
· Experience as a machine operative or in a factory/manufacturing environment
· Clipper Saw experience preferred, but not essential
· Good numeracy skills
· Ability to read and interpret drawings (advantageous but not essential)
· Strong attention to detail
· A positive, can‑do attitude and willingness to learn
