JOB OVERVIEW & PURPOSE:
The General Maintenance Operative is responsible for undertaking a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of the premises. You will work as part of a team to carry out planned and reactive maintenance duties, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional approach at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine and reactive maintenance tasks including repairs to building fabric, plumbing, electrical systems, and heating.
- Assist with preventative maintenance schedules.
- Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Record and report all maintenance activities accurately.
- Follow health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to visitors and colleagues.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting skills.
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications are advantageous.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Willingness to work flexible hours if required.
- Valid driver's license is a plus.
