We are looking to hire a GPhC-registered Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) on a locum basis to accurately check prescriptions and support the efficient day-to-day running of our dispensary based on-site in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. You will have significant responsibility and autonomy for ensuring patient safety and will report to the Responsible Pharmacist.

What you’ll be doing
Follow our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operational guidelines.
Maintaining compliance with our practice standards.
Checking dispensed prescriptions and sending out orders via our couriers.
Managing the Pharmacy near misses and creating action plans.
Working with the Risk and Safety team to root cause and resolve incidents.
Working proactively with Service and other internal teams to ensure orders are dispatched in a timely manner.
Proactive problem-solving and innovation, contributing towards service development and patient experience.
Working with the Pharmacy Manager to train and develop the Pharmacy workforce.
Collaborating with the Pharmacy Manager and Supply Chain team to manage inventory.
What we need from you
You must be registered with the pharmacy regulator (GPhC).
Hold a recognised Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) qualification (or active enrolment in an accredited ACT training programme).
Demonstrate high levels of professional expertise.
Confident working to strict deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Have a passion for pharmacy and providing the best care for our customers.
Have a love of working collaboratively with a team-centred approach.
Have excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations and provisions of national and local services.
Role model communication skills; you will hold excellent face-to-face interactions to effectively meet the varied needs of customers and patients in pharmacy.

An initial screening call with recruitment.
An onsite 2 hour trial and interview with a Production Manager, Pharmacist and or the Senior Operations Manager.
