Qualified Early Years Practitioner
Are you passionate about helping young children learn, grow and thrive? We’re looking for a Qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team at School House Day Care.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced practitioner who enjoys creating fun, engaging experiences for children and wants to play an important role in their early years journey. You’ll have the opportunity to use your skills, take on responsibility and develop your career within a welcoming team.
What you’ll be doing
- Creating and leading fun, engaging activities that support children’s learning and development.
- Providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment where children can learn through play.
- Building positive relationships with children and supporting their individual needs.
- Observing children and helping to track and celebrate their progress and development.
- Working closely with colleagues and families to provide the best possible care.
- Supporting and mentoring new team members, sharing your knowledge and leading by example.
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and childcare practice.
- Keeping accurate records and following nursery policies and procedures.
- Supporting with outings and external activities where required.
What we’re looking for
- A recognised Early Years/Childcare qualification (Level 2 or above).
- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.
- A genuine passion for working with children.
- A caring, enthusiastic and positive approach.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to work well as part of a team and use your initiative.
- Knowledge of the EYFS and current safeguarding requirements.
- A full driving licence would be desirable but is not essential.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
