Love dogs? Enjoy staying busy? We’re looking for a Doggy Daycare Assistant to join our team at West End Tails.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced daycare environment, helping us keep tails wagging and days running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Supervising dogs throughout the day and helping maintain a safe, calm, and positive daycare environment
- Taking dogs out for walks and outdoor exercise (always on-lead)
- Preparing and serving meals and treats according to individual feeding instructions
- Providing plenty of snuggles, attention, and enrichment (an important part of the job)
- Monitoring each dog’s comfort, behaviour, energy levels, and wellbeing
- Helping ensure every dog is placed in the best environment for their individual needs, personality, and play style
- Encouraging positive social interactions and redirecting inappropriate behaviour where needed
- Maintaining clean, hygienic daycare and rest areas
- Supporting drop-offs, pick-ups, and communicating observations to the team
- Helping dogs settle, rest, and enjoy a structured daily routine
- Assisting customers in the shop or before/after their grooming appointments

Job Qualifications
- Canine qualifications including OFQUAL Level 2 or OR similar experience
- Experience in a multi-dog environment
- History of dog walks in an urban environment
- Knowledge of dog breeds and training techniques
- Reliable, responsible, and eager to learn
- Customer focus (for both human and canine customers)

We love each dog as our own and strive to ensure they enjoy their time with us and their pawrents are relaxed knowing their fur babies are in good hands while they're with us.
Pay: £12.50-£13.15 per hour
