Location: Selby, North Yorkshire- Hybrid working based in one of our four hubs (Northallerton, Selby, Scarborough, Harrogate)

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact. As Lead Business Analyst, you’ll play a key role in shaping council services by delivering insightful analysis that turns ambition into actionable plans. You’ll ensure that the initiatives we pursue are the right ones for North Yorkshire Council and its customers, driving meaningful change and value.
In this role you will:
- Join the management team of a collaborative and forward-thinking Business Analysis function, dedicated to driving meaningful change across the organisation.
- Take the lead role in shaping and developing a high-performing team of Business Analysts, fostering innovation, learning and professional excellence.
- Work with a wide range of senior stakeholders across the Council to identify opportunities for change.
- Develop and present cases for change to senior management and Council partners.
- Manage and undertake a range of analysis activities to help define problems, opportunities, benefits, and action plans.
- Understand and represent business and customer interests, requirements and perspectives throughout analysis work and project lifecycles.
- Review the impact and success of initiatives, to assess and quantify the extent to which benefits have been realised.
Essential Experience
- Senior level communication and interpersonal skills.
- Setting (and continuously improving) processes, tools and standards for business analysis.
- Experience of leading, managing and developing professional teams to deliver high performance.
- Experience of aiding, supporting and progressing business change in large, complex organisations.
Essential Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of on-going commitment to CPD.
- Senior level business analysis qualifications, e.g. BCS business analysis diploma (or higher), Lean, Six-Sigma Green Belt (or higher), or equivalent demonstrable experience.
The role is hybrid working with a combination of home working together with a minimum 2 office days per week, primarily at one of our local transformation hubs in Northallerton, Harrogate, Scarborough and Selby. In your application, please indicate which hub you would prefer to work from.
