Job Summary
Security Gateman (Man/Woman)
We are seeking a vigilant, dependable, and experienced Security Gateman to safeguard our premises and maintain a secure environment for staff, visitors, and company property.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of security experience, a strong sense of responsibility, and a reliable approach to protecting people and property. You will be the first point of contact at the entry gate, responsible for monitoring access, conducting surveillance, and responding promptly to security concerns.
Responsibilities
- Control access to the facility by verifying employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
- Operate CCTV cameras and monitor activities around the premises for suspicious or unauthorized behavior.
- Conduct loss-prevention checks to help prevent theft, damage, and unauthorized removal of company property.
- Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents and emergencies.
- Provide basic first aid when necessary and follow emergency response procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of entries, exits, incidents, visitors, and security activities during each shift.
- Conduct regular patrols of the perimeter and designated areas.
- Report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with security team members, management, emergency responders, staff, and visitors.
- Ensure all security and safety procedures are consistently followed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in security or a related role.
- Proven ability to operate CCTV systems and perform effective surveillance.
- Knowledge of loss-prevention techniques and security best practices.
- Reliable, punctual, responsible, and trustworthy.
- Ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and respond quickly during high-pressure situations.
- Basic first aid knowledge and understanding of emergency procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance, attitude, and conduct.
- Previous experience in a similar security/gateman position is strongly preferred.
