Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Host to join our team. This will be a dual role working on Reception and also in our Restaurant/Conservatory and Bar. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a warm welcome. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently in a busy hotel environment.
Reception Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming attitude
- Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently
- Handle guest inquiries and provide information about hotel services and local attractions
- Answering the telephone.
- Making room and restaurant reservations.
- Maintain accurate records of reservations and guest information
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and well-organised at all times
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
Restaurant Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming attitude.
- Offer guests our menus and take orders.
- Serve Food/Drinks
- Process payments
- Ensure that the restaurant is laid up to the correct standard for each service.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills are essential
- A background in guest services will be an advantage
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
- We would consider part time applicants.
