Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Domestic Cleaner to join our team at Loughton Hall. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the carehome. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a hygienic and welcoming environment, ensuring client satisfaction through high standards of cleanliness. Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who take pride in their work and possess excellent organisational skills.
Duties
- Clean and sanitise all designated areas including kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces, and bedrooms using appropriate cleaning products and equipment.
- Perform specialised tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing surfaces, and emptying bins.
- Organise cleaning schedules in accordance with client preferences and requirements.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently within allocated timeframes.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure the environment is thoroughly cleaned and hygienic.
- Occasionally assist with light organisational tasks or errands as required by clients.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during cleaning activities.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to the relevant supervisor.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Basic cooking skills are considered a bonus but are not essential for the role.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients when necessary.
- Strong organisational abilities with an eye for detail to ensure thorough cleaning standards are met.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude towards work responsibilities.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties which may include lifting light objects, standing for extended periods, and reaching various heights.
